The GPA is the largest property holder in government, with more than £2.1 billion in property assets, and over 53% of the government’s office estate. We are transforming the way the Civil Service works by creating great places to work, leading the largest commercial office programme in the UK, working towards halving carbon emissions from government offices, and achieving greater value for taxpayers.

Our strategic objectives

We work closely in partnership with government departments to deliver the space and services they need, delivering value for money for taxpayers, realising significant benefits across the estate, and making ongoing savings. Acting as the government’s subject matter expert in office property, we can see where offices can be shared and used better, and procure services at scale.

We will do this by aligning our activities with our four strategic objectives.

Diversity and inclusion at the GPA

We aim to develop our position as an inclusive employer of choice in the external market and across the Civil Service. An inclusive culture that represents the communities in which we operate, better serves the changing needs of our customers and clients, and makes us all feel proud to belong.

Our Leadership

Our Board and senior leadership team strengthen the GPA and ensure we deliver our 10-year strategy. They lead us in achieving our vision of creating a transformed, shared, sustainable and value for money government estate supporting civil servants to work productively in every nation and region of the UK.
