Legal Counsel - Michael Wu
Michael provides and facilitates timely robust legal advice, and engenders informed decision making.
Michael Wu was appointed as our first Legal Counsel in May 2022. He supports the delivery of our objectives and engenders informed decision making when it comes to legal risks. He has established, and is currently implementing a legal strategy across our business which includes the creation of a model set of agreements, modernisation of our occupational agreements and leading the first procurement of legal advisers.
Michael is a senior legal professional with 20+ years private and public commercial experience. He spent 10 years in private practice as a commercial property lawyer before moving to central government where he successfully performed several roles including Head of Property Legal at the Department for Education and Legal Counsel/Company Secretary at LocatED Property Limited – the government-owned property company responsible for buying and developing sites to provide thousands of vital new school places for children in England.
