GovPrint, our shared print service, is key to the transformation of the civil service, as we continue to create great places to work, with flexible workspaces and technology so civil servants can operate from anywhere.

Almost 1,600 devices have been rolled out so far to 20 government departments – our clients – at 250 locations, with over 73,000 people able to print with GovPrint. More and more clients are discovering the benefits the service offers and the cost and carbon savings GovPrint delivers.

Benefits of GovPrint

  • Clients avoid a costly procurement exercise for print, with GovPrint all that is taken care of by the GPA.
  • Clients avoid the overhead of managing a service – no need to install print servers or set up licensing, no patching, troubleshooting, upgrading software, ordering toners and so on.
  • GovPrint devices can simply be brought in, powered on and connected to GovWifi which gives them access to the GovPrint cloud.
  • The economies of scale with GovPrint deliver good value.
  • GovPrint is accessible to all – large touchscreens, high contrast, ergonomic paper trays and other accessibility options on request.
  • Once registered with GovPrint customers can collect from any GovPrint printer, at any GovPrint enabled location, using their GovPass or other building pass to authenticate before printing.
  • Uncollected jobs are automatically deleted, saving paper and reducing our carbon footprint.
  • No print jobs sit awaiting collection, which is better for security.
