Simon oversees the delivery of a well-assured programme of construction and fit outs in line with business cases from the CIO.

Simon oversees the delivery of a well-assured programme of construction and fit outs in line with business cases from the CIO.

He previously worked at the Department for Energy Security & Net Zero (DESNZ), where he worked as a Director and Chief Project Delivery Officer.

Simon brings with him a breadth of experience from his time in the British Armed Forces and Royal Engineers and then, when leaving the army, his work in the construction sector at an international firm. He joined the Civil Service in 2020 where he was leading the formation of a new implementation unit at the former Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) which led to him later moving to DESNZ, where he oversaw the wider departmental portfolio of delivery.
